Kenwood Therapeutics, PLLC
Website Legal Notice

Who we are
This notice covers the psychiatric care offered on this website by Kenwood Therapeutics, PLLC, a Washington professional limited liability company ("we," "us").
We are a separate company from AltPsych, LLC, which also does business as Kenwood Therapeutics. AltPsych offers spiritual guidance, personal development, and coaching. Those services are not healthcare, are not provided or supervised by our licensed providers, and are not part of your care with us. AltPsych has its own legal notice and privacy policies, linked here.
Our partnership with Mindful Therapy Group
Kenwood Therapeutics, PLLC is an independent practice that works with Mindful Therapy Group, P.C., a Washington professional services corporation. Mindful Therapy Group provides business support for our practice, including scheduling and administrative help, insurance billing, and collections.
Your provider makes all clinical decisions. Mindful Therapy Group does not direct your care.
You will receive Mindful Therapy Group's disclosure statement at intake. It explains billing, payment, and the financial arrangement between Mindful Therapy Group and your provider.
You are free to choose any provider. You are not required to receive care through this partnership.
Our care and who we serve
We provide outpatient psychiatric care, including psychiatric evaluation, diagnosis, and medication management, for adults and older adults who live in Washington State. Care is available by telehealth and in person at our Spokane and Seattle locations.
Care is provided by Jamia Woodard, PMHNP-BC, licensed in Washington as Advanced Registered Nurse Practitioner (license no. AP61554998). You can verify any Washington provider's license through the Department of Health's provider credential search.
We do not provide inpatient, residential, or emergency care. If we believe you need a different level of care, we will help you find appropriate resources.
Telehealth
You must be physically in Washington at the time of each telehealth visit, because our providers are licensed in Washington. If you are traveling outside the state, please reschedule or plan an in-person visit.
We use AdvanvedMD, a secure platform designed for healthcare.
Please join from a private place, and have a phone number ready in case the connection drops.
Some situations call for an in-person visit. Your provider will let you know if telehealth isn't the right fit.
Rules for prescribing certain medications by telehealth can change. Your provider will explain any requirements that apply to you.
Controlled substance prescribing
Our providers may prescribe controlled substances, such as certain medications for ADHD, anxiety, or sleep, when they are clinically appropriate. Whether a medication is prescribed is always your provider's clinical decision.
In-person visits may be required. Federal rules decide when controlled substances can be prescribed by telehealth without an in-person visit, and those rules may change. If an in-person evaluation is required, we will schedule one at our Spokane or Seattle location.
Safety checks. We may review Washington's Prescription Monitoring Program, ask you to sign a medication agreement, and schedule regular follow-up visits.
Prescriptions are sent electronically to a pharmacy you choose.
In an emergency
We are not an emergency service. Messages and voicemails are not monitored around the clock.
If you are in immediate danger or having a medical emergency, call 911 or go to the nearest emergency room.
If you are in emotional distress or thinking about suicide, call or text 988 (the Suicide & Crisis Lifeline), available 24/7.
Current patients with urgent but non-emergency concerns can call 509.214.7342 during business hours on Tuesdays, Fridays, and Saturdays.
Information on this website, and contacting us
General information only. Content on this website is not medical advice and is not a substitute for an evaluation by a licensed provider. Reading it, or contacting us through it, does not make you a patient. A patient relationship begins only after you complete intake and we accept you into care.
Please don't send health details through the website. The website contact form and regular email are not designed for private health information. To share health information, use our patient portal after intake.
Your privacy. Our patients' health records are kept in Mindful Therapy Group's electronic health record system. How your health information is used, shared, and protected, and your rights over it, are explained in Mindful Therapy Group's Notice of Privacy Practices, available at mindfultherapygroup.com/faqs. Privacy questions or requests go to Mindful Therapy Group's Privacy Officer, listed in that notice.
Your right to a Good Faith Estimate
You have the right to receive a Good Faith Estimate explaining how much your medical care will cost.
Under the law, health care providers must give patients who don't have insurance, or who are not using insurance, an estimate of the bill for medical items and services.
You have the right to receive a Good Faith Estimate for the total expected cost of any non-emergency items or services, including related costs like medical tests, prescription drugs, equipment, and hospital fees.
Make sure your provider gives you a Good Faith Estimate in writing at least 1 business day before your medical service or item. You can also ask your provider for a Good Faith Estimate before you schedule an item or service.
If you receive a bill that is at least $400 more than your Good Faith Estimate, you can dispute the bill.
Make sure to save a copy or picture of your Good Faith Estimate.
For questions or more information about your right to a Good Faith Estimate, visit www.cms.gov/nosurprises or call [PRACTICE PHONE].
