Who This Policy Covers

This Privacy Policy explains how AltPsych, LLC, a Washington limited liability company doing business as Kenwood Therapeutics ("we," "us"), handles personal information collected through this website and our spiritual guidance, personal development, and consulting services.

Two things this policy does not cover:

  • Health information. Any information about your physical or mental health is covered by our separate Consumer Health Data Privacy Policy at [LINK]. That policy explains your added rights for that information.

  • Kenwood Therapeutics, PLLC. That separate company provides licensed psychiatric care and has its own privacy notice at [LINK]. We do not share information with it unless you ask us to.

Information We Collect

Information you give us:

  • Contact details: name, email, phone, and mailing address

  • Booking details: services you choose, appointment times, and scheduling notes

  • Birth information you provide for certain services, such as date, time, and place of birth; and legal and/or social name(s)

  • Messages you send us by email, contact form, or text

  • Payment information. Payments are handled by [PAYMENT PROCESSOR]. We see limited details, such as your name and the last four digits of your card, but we do not store full card numbers.

Information collected automatically when you visit our website: device and browser type, pages viewed, approximate location based on IP address, and similar usage data. See "Cookies, analytics, and email" below.

How We Use and Share Information

We use your information to:

  • schedule and provide the services you request

  • process payments and send receipts

  • respond to your questions and messages

  • send updates or newsletters, if you sign up (you can unsubscribe anytime), if applicable

  • run, secure, and improve our website

  • meet legal, tax, and accounting obligations

We share information only in these situations:

  • Service providers who help us run the practice, such as [WEBSITE HOST], [SCHEDULING TOOL], [PAYMENT PROCESSOR], [EMAIL SERVICE], and [VIDEO PLATFORM]. They may use your information only to provide services to us.

  • When the law requires it, such as a valid subpoena or court order, or to protect someone's safety.

  • If the business changes hands, such as a sale or merger, in which case this policy continues to apply to your information.

  • When you ask us to, such as sharing information with another provider you name.

We do not sell your personal information, and we do not share it for targeted advertising.

Cookies, Analytics, and Email

Cookies. Our website uses cookies, which are small files stored in your browser, to keep the site working and to understand how visitors use it. You can block or delete cookies in your browser settings. Some site features may not work without them.

Analytics. We use Squarespace Analytics and Google Search Console to see which pages are visited and how people find us.

Health-related pages. We do not use tracking tools to identify visitors based on which service pages they view.

Email. If you join our mailing list, we send updates through Gmail. Every email includes an unsubscribe link. Unsubscribing does not affect messages about services you've booked.

How Long We Keep Information, and How We Protect It

Retention. We do not keep service records. We will maintain financial records for as long as tax law requires. Website and email data are kept only as long as needed for the purposes above. After that, we delete or de-identify the information.

Security. We use reasonable safeguards, such as password-protected accounts, encrypted payment processing, and limited access. No online system is completely secure, so we cannot guarantee absolute security. If a data breach affects you, we will notify you as the law requires.

Children. Our services and website are for adults 18 and older. We do not knowingly collect information from children. If you believe a child has given us information, contact us and we will delete it.

Your Choices and Rights

You can ask us to:

  • tell you what personal information we have about you, and give you a copy

  • correct information that is wrong

  • delete your information, unless we must keep it for legal, tax, or safety reasons

  • stop sending you marketing emails

To make a request, email privacy@altpsych.org. We may need to confirm your identity first. We will respond within 45 days. We will not treat you differently for making a request.

For health information, your rights are broader and are explained in our Consumer Health Data Privacy Policy at [LINK].

Changes to This Policy

We may update this policy. The date at the top shows when it last changed. If we make a significant change, we will post a notice on the website or email current clients.
